Flat Weave Rugs

Flat weave rugs are made on a loom rather than being knotted, meaning they don’t have a tufted pile, unlike other rugs we manufacture. As is suggested by the name, this method of weaving means that flat weave rugs are very slim-line and flat. A flat weave rug is more versatile and easier to move around when necessary.
This type of rug has no pile height, and are woven by interlocking warp and weft threads, similar to making textile. The rug has no pile and is only a display of the interlocking, and creative methods can be used to give a patterned look to the rug. This is either done by using different sizes of threads, changing the colors of threads or using unique styles of interlocking.
Flat weave rugs can be made from different materials, we commonly weave them out of wool, linen, silk, or even cotton. The biggest advantage of this type of rug is that it is lightweight as these rugs are made with just two woven threads. Therefore, positioning them according to your needs is very easy. Flat weave rugs are also often reversible, again because of the technique used to weave them, so you can practice a rotation system to keep your rug looking its best. They are low on maintenance and are one of the easiest forms of rug to clean and vacuum because of their naturally flat attributes.
